The Church is a House of Worship and Pray for All
Matthew 21:12 reads, “It is written, ‘My house will be called a house of prayer.’” 2 Chronicles 7:14 reads, “If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and will heal their land.” Therefore, the church family should glorify God together by maintaining and promoting His worship corporately, in order to celebrate the Lord’s Table and baptisms, submit to His authority, and to spur each other on to love and good deeds. We hope to bring everyone together, young and old, during the singing, preaching, praying, and giving of the church family so that the faith-filled prayers of the children are in harmony with the experienced-filled prayers of the adults.
Disciples are Called to Hand-in-Hand Service
Matthew 20:18 reads, “He came to them and said, ‘All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.’” We are called, cleansed, gifted, and given authority to attain God’s purpose for our local church. Therefore, we invite everyone to serve in the ministry life of the church.
We Strive to Recapture a Vision for Christian Education
Education serves as a powerful form of teaching. Education also promotes certain standard texts as foundational truth. Developing a Christian worldview requires intellectual, critical, and moral thought.
We hope to rotate Foundational Courses on an annual basis: Baptism Course, Vision and Values Course, Christian Worldview, Old Testament Survey, New Testament Survey, and Church History. Canadian Education has gone from being Christian to being secular humanistic, which is anti-Christian. Therefore, our main form of youth ministry at Grace is to support local Christian schools and the home-school network to promote higher-critical Christian vocational training.
